Graduate Civil Engineer at Kier Group working on Severn Trent’s £12.9bn AMP8 programme, delivering key water infrastructure projects from design to commissioning to improve water quality, environmental protection, and network resilience while ensuring technical accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Support the delivery of civil engineering packages from early design through to commissioning and final handover.Carry out setting out activities using GPS and total stations, ensuring dimensional accuracy and compliance with tolerances.Perform regular calibration checks on survey instruments and maintain accurate site records.Carry out topographical surveys and site measurements to support project progress and QA documentation.Monitor and enforce SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) standards in line with Kier’s Integrated Management System (IMS).Support the testing and inspection of works and materials including drainage, concrete pours, piling, and brickwork.Assist in resolving technical queries and overcoming design issues by working closely with engineers and subcontractors.Ensure quality through timely preparation and management of As-Built drawings and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).Contribute to change management processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and value improvement.Engage with site teams and supply chain to promote safety, well-being, and operational excellence.
