Undertake high risk health and safety inspections including motor sports events and other high-risk leisure activities.Investigate serious health and safety matters including complaints regarding dangerous working conditions; serious accidents, including fatalities; incidences of occupational disease such as Mesothelioma.Investigate and manage outbreaks of infectious disease specifically food borne infections such as E. coli and Salmonella; water borne infections including Cryptosporidium; environmental infections including Legionella. Also involved in clearance testing of infectious disease cases.Approval, inspection, and audit of food production factories that process products of products of animal origin (POAO). Validation and verification of HACCP systems.Inspection of all high, medium, and low risk food premises to ensure compliance with food hygiene legislation including follow up work and enforcement where necessary.Inspection of food premises to ensure compliance with food standards legislation, including allergen management, food labelling and product claims etc.Trained and qualified to certify Food Export Health Certificates for consignments of food containing POAO to third countries.Audit of food and drink producers who have been granted protected geographical status i.e. protected designation of origin (PDO) and protected geographical indication (PGI).Manage product recall arrangements for unfit food items placed on the market.Provider of bespoke tailored advice to businesses to assist compliance with current legislation and best practice.Sampling for testing and analysis, both formal sampling and surveillance.
