About Ivy Spohnholz

I love solving tough problems, leading and developing strong teams, and making Alaska a better place to live, work and raise a family. I\'ve been doing that in the Alaska State House and nonprofit sector working on transformational and sticky challenges. After two decades in nonprofit sector, I served in the Alaska State House for six and half years where my signature legislation has been passing health care price transparency in 2018 and permanently expanding access to telehealth care for Alaskans in 2022. As chair of the House Special Committee on Ways and Means, I advocated for a sustainable fiscal plan that will create the essential fiscal stability Alaska needs to support healthy communities and a thriving economy. Now I am back to my nonprofit roots working at The Nature Conservancy in Alaska where we are working on an ambitious agenda that ensure that both people and the environment thrive for generations to come.

   Lead a statewide Alaska team driving the Alaska Chapter’s conservation strategy, public policy leadership, and fundraising functions. Work closely with the Alaska board of trustees to create and implement the Chapter’s conservation strategies in alignment with The Nature Conservancy’s global 2030 vision.
