ABOUT IVY HUME
I am an architect, designer and artist based out of Oakland, California with roots in New York and Sweden. An activist, I am passionate about cities and equity in the built environment. I have a love of structure and play, and prioritize both in my design work. I cut my teeth at world famous architecture practices Foster and Partners and Bjarke Ingels Group and later taught at Pratt and Columbia University. I started my own practice to live more in alignment with my social values and creative drive. Recent completed projects include a laboratory and office for a startup in Alameda, California, a film production studio and office in New York City, several interior apartment renovations and soon, a house in Orinda, CA. No project type is too foreign.
