ABOUT IVY CHAMNESS
I\'m a product-oriented security leader who bridges digital product development and cybersecurity through a human-centered design approach. Currently leading product security for 11 digital product teams at Yum! Brands, supporting Crown Jewel programs and PCI-DSS scoped products serving millions of customers worldwide. My approach: Security doesn\'t have to be the team that says \"no.\" By applying design thinking, structured facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration, I help product teams build secure products—without slowing delivery. Background: My path to product security is unconventional. I spent years in innovation strategy at D-Ford (Ford Motor Company) and Pizza Hut Global, and 18+ years as a Marine leading engineering operations, tactical communications, and antiterrorism efforts. When innovation work slowed post-COVID, I decided to pivot my design thinking, program leadership, and risk management skills into cybersecurity. Turns out, securing digital products requires the same systems-thinking, human-centered problem-solving, and collaboration I used to drive innovation. And defending against cyber threats feels just as exciting and meaningful. What I bring- Product security leadership for Crown Jewel digital assets and PCI-DSS scoped products- Design thinking and systems design applied to security, risks, and compliance challenges- Workshop facilitation and design applied to roadmapping, prioritization, strategic metrics & reporting- Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, security, risk, and incident response teams- Executive communication, reporting, and strategic advisoryExperience across: Mobility, hospitality, retail, defense, energy, healthcare, smart citiesGlobal work: led projects and workshops in Japan, India, Thailand, Philippines, and across the USCertifications: PMP, CSPO, AgileOff the clock: Improv and stand-up comedy hobbyist. Turns out,\"many laughs make light work,\" as they say. Or something like that. Also a fan of video games, fitness, public libraries, the outdoors, and Medieval Times. I\'m passionate about securing digital products, helping teams prioritize what matters most, and mentoring others who want to bring creative approaches to traditionally rigid fields.
