About Ivy Buck
Hi! I\'m a recent college Wellesley College graduate with an Honors Bachelor\'s of Arts Degree in English. I\'m currently a News Assistant in NPR\'s Arts and Culture Hub, working on the Culture Desk and with the Books team to help produce Books We Love and the Book of the Day podcast.At Wellesley and beyond I advanced my editorial skills through multiple leadership and team roles, including as a Managing Editor of The Wellesley News and an Editor-in-Chief of “The Update” political engagement newsletter. I\'ve interned at Slate Magazine, worked with professors from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, and taken honors courses in literary journalism with writers from The New Yorker: experiences which have substantially prepared me for professional editorial career. I am well-trained to cover various beats, unafraid to ask hard questions, and have excelled in upholding professional standards of editorial quality for each role I undertake. As well as a passionate writer, I am also a passionate researcher and creative collaborator looking to further my analytical and creative skills in both the humanities and social sciences.
