As a resident assistant, I was a trained peer leader who supervised those living in a residence hall. My role as a RA had many roles and responsibilities, including, but not limited to, building a residential community through programming, acting as a para-counselor, being a familiar first resource for/with institutional questions, and enforcing residence.· The Resident Assistant keeps the supervisor informed of activities, problems, and needs of the residents and the community. As an RA, you are charged with the development and creation of a residential environment that promotes and enhances the social and diverse pursuits of the population.
