ABOUT IVONE REGO
Ivone Rego is currently the Transition Manager at FCSN after working as the Communications Coordinator and Project Assoca at the Federation for Children with Special Needs. After decades of working in the film industry, Ivone’s focus shifted upon receiving a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder for her son. Like many others, this became the catalyst that pushed her to become a better-informed parent, and now Special Education Consultant and Advocate. Ivone completed training at the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA); Mass Families Organizing for Change (MFOFC) – Advocacy Bootcamp and Family Leadership Series; Department of Developmental Services (DDS) – Regional Leadership Series; The Federation for Children with Special Needs – PTI and RTSC; as well as Cultural Diversity, Trauma and Social-Emotional IEP development, Mandated Reporting, Human Rights and more. She is currently completing her Pre-Law degree while continuing to dabble in theatre, film, and the art of laughter.
