About Ivett Soti

In elementary and high school I excelled in math and programming (Yes, we learned some HTML, QBasic, and Pascal in elementary school). I loved both subjects and I knew I wanted to study computer science. I vividly remember that when I shared this thought with one of my teachers she told me that there are a lot of programmers already and I might not be able to find a job… so maybe I should choose something else instead. I didn’t listen! And it was one of the best decisions of my life. After all these years I am still passionate about technology, computer science, programming, and bringing people together to solve problems. I still love what I do and I am excited to start my day with new challenges ahead.What I enjoy the most- Brainstorming ideas on a whiteboard with colleagues (either in a room or virtually these days)- Coming up with creative solutions to problems- Launching a new product and working with our users to incorporate their feedback- Having those days when I can put on my headphones and do coding- Mentoring and leading the next generation of engineers and helping them learn and grow- Learning about new technologies
