As a young child, I can vividly recall being inundated by imagination. Instantly, my roach infested one-bedroom duplex would transform into an innovative tech hub. The wooden walls, cleverly dropped down like shelves to unveil my assorted gadgets. The dingy couch, seemingly useless at first, rotated at the push of a button to allow access to my laboratory. Androids walked purposefully to ensure my lab was well kept. As Dr. Seuss would affirm, “Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in life.” From the beginning, my spirited fantasies were enriched by passionate parents who decided to take a life changing journey from Haiti to America. My mother, pregnant with my little sister, and my father, a passionate, yet inexperienced young man, boarded a boat, filled with new possibilities for their children\'s future. Their sacrifice gave me the opportunity to dream without limitations; a privilege I used to become a Computer Engineer. During my engineering journey, I learned that failure is a key ingredient of success. I also learned that everyone plays a pivotal role in someone’s success; A role that is fulfilled through excellence in everything that we do. As such, I believe my life’s purpose is to inspire the next generation of leaders to live fulfilled lives and [Apply]rs Excellence daily so they can passionately pursue their purpose.
