Projects span both short- and long-term timelines across a diverse range of established and emerging sectors. Maintains focus on quality and client satisfaction throughout entire project execution.Training and Collaboration: Trains and educates laboratory users on the safe and effective use of high-value instrumentation. Communicates complex concepts clearly and effectively to students from all academic disciplines, through customized training plans ranging from one-on-one mentorship and direct supervision of students, to leading multi-person courses. Provides ongoing support within the lab, fostering technical growth, confidence, and independence in student researchers. Technical Expertise: Performs routine diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on high-value laboratory instrumentation, ensuring consistent performance and compliance with ISO 17025 standards. Leads technical initiatives for infrastructure upgrades and modernization, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to implement scalable, cost-effective solutions. Streamlines workflows to enhance instrument reliability, minimize downtime, and improve operational efficiency.

At Surface Science Western, I collaborate with over 40 industrial clients annually across sectors like automotive, aerospace, energy, and environmental technologies. I specialize in advanced microscopy (SEM, EDS, STEM, Micro-CT) and deliver high-quality, data-driven insights.
