About Ivan Mendoza
As a Digital Accessibility Specialist, I’ve been working closely with business and technology teams to help them deliver accessible products by addressing accessibility at all stages of the Product Development Life Cycle leveraging the WCAG 2.1 Level AA and WAI-ARIA patterns to support key Accessibility laws, standards, and guidelines such as Section 508, ADA, AODA, and EN 301 549. I\'m a strong believer of using the appropriate tools and techniques to get the job done; primarily using web browsers with various assistive technology including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack, keyboard/switch control, mobile devices (apps with common accessibility features enabled), and a variety of automated and guided manual testing tools ranging from browser plug-ins like WAVE, axe DevTools, ANDI, Lighthouse, or IBM’s Accessibility Checker to enterprise tools like AMP.I live in a world of ideas, analysis and strategies and I’m passionate about personal finance, technology and accessibility.Personally, my mission is to build accessible solutions that empower individuals in my community with the necessary information to help them overcome their financial stressors, make better financial decisions, and save more towards their financial dreams.
