Lead the definition and oversee the development of power conversion products, including their features, hardware, and firmware for Nextracker’s power conversion block architecture, including inverters, energy storage systems, DC/DC converters, and PV optimizers. Work with internal firmware, software, hardware engineering internal teams, and third-party partners and manufacturers Lead Nextracker’s overall power block system integration requirements and manage technical roadmaps and development of inverters, DC/DC converters, energy storage systems, and PV optimizers. Co-develop representative power plant block simulation models alongside the team’s control system engineers Support testing engineers in the definition and execution of performance, functionality, and grid code compliance test plans for inverters, DC/DC converters, energy storage systems, and PV optimizers. Support in analyzing testing results, M&V validation data provided by the performance engineering team, and equipment designs and recommend design improvements. Manage the work carried out by third-party certification labs in China, India, US, and Europe Review certification test reports and suggest and lead additional testing Coordinate with field application engineers to define and comply with interface requirements such as protection coordination, wiring and communications. Collaborate with Quality/SQE team to audit processes, provide control plans, and lead long-term resolutions of defects and deviations identified. Main point of contact and technical support lead for Nextracker’s Quality Engineering team in charge of evaluating inverter’s quality & reliability, using processes such as DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, etc. Co-develop expansion plans and test capabilities Develop maintenance procedures and other documentation for field technicians Support FAE team in field commissioning & troubleshooting Support EE team in defining specifications for power systems.
