ABOUT IVANA UZORKA

I’m an aspiring cybersecurity professional currently pursuing a BSc in Cyber Security at the University of West London, achieving a First-Class academic average. I’m passionate about protecting systems, networks, and data through ethical, research-driven security practices and resilient technical design.Through hands-on experience in ethical hacking, malware analysis, and network security, I’ve developed a strong foundation in identifying vulnerabilities, assessing cyber risks, and implementing effective security controls. My technical projects include conducting static and dynamic malware investigations using tools such as VirusTotal, ANY.RUN, and Joe Sandbox, as well as designing secure enterprise network topologies in Cisco Packet Tracer using ACLs, firewall rules, and real-world threat simulations. I also actively build penetration testing skills through CTF challenges, personal projects and Hack The Box, where I perform scanning, enumeration, and vulnerability analysis in controlled environments using tools such as Nmap, Burp Suite, Kali Linux, and Wireshark.Alongside my technical growth, I bring strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills developed through diverse responsibilities. As Social Media Manager for the Women in Tech Society, I collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote inclusion and engagement within the tech community. In addition, running my own small business and working as a tutor has strengthened my ability to manage responsibilities, communicate clearly, build trust with clients, and explain complex concepts - all highly transferable to cybersecurity roles.I’m particularly interested in opportunities within cybersecurity operations, threat analysis, penetration testing, security engineering, and consulting, where I can contribute to defending systems against evolving threats while continuing to learn from industry professionals while helping protect organisations and individuals from evolving security threats.I’m always open to networking, work experiences, and entry-level opportunities in cybersecurity.
