ABOUT IVANA MIKIC

My current focus is building Sarpeda around a core insight: microscopy images, as they are typically acquired, are sparse in information content, and structured unwanted signals often obscure what matters. By pairing thoughtful experimental design with AI, we extract far more biological information and much cleaner signal from a single imaging run using standard hardware and reagents.My work sits at the intersection of imaging, AI, and the life sciences. I have extensive experience in high content screening, digital pathology, MPS systems, and spatial biology, and have also led a broad range of AI projects beyond these areas across research and industry.I have built and led AI and engineering teams in venture backed and acquired companies. I co-founded Image Informatics and led the company through its acquisition by Dassault Systèmes and integration into BIOVIA. At Diffine, the consulting company I co-founded, I oversee AI projects that address practical scientific questions and support clients in adopting modern AI technologies.I am a member of the Women in Bio Boardroom Ready 2025 cohort and the Biotech CEO Sisterhood, and I serve on the board of trustees of the Fleet Science Center. I am committed to mentorship, leadership development, and science outreach.
