Responsible for the development and management of the technical Safety Risk Management program (SRM) under Aurora’s Safety Management System (SMS) as a Safety Engineer/Technical Program Manager (TPM).\\\\n\\\\n• Responsible for developing risk management processes, policies, and tooling for the quickly changing Autonomous Vehicle (AV) industry\\\\n\\\\n• Developed AV-specific Safety Risk Assessment Tooling (Quantitative and Qualitative) utilizing insight from best practices and standards of other safety critical systems such as ISO 26262, MIL-STD-882E, ICAO 9589, ARMS\\\\n\\\\n• Actively looking for innovative approaches to manage safety risks by collaborating with cross functional teams (such as operations, product, systems engineering, etc.), understanding their processes, and proposing non-disruptive solutions to analyze and manage safety risks\\\\n\\\\n• Supporting the development of the external AVSC’s Risk Management Best Practice as part of a multi-company consortium\\\\n\\\\n• Supporting Aurora’s Safety Case team by managing and ensuring safety risk claims are assigned to the correct TPMs and are being satisfied\\\\n\\\\n• Responsible for preparing and presenting SRM progress, updates, & communication to the Safety Review Board which includes C-Staff and the Safety Advisory Board which includes external Safety Experts from various industries\\\\n\\\\n• Working along other SMS and Safety Programs (Assurance, Policy, Culture, Concern Reporting, Standards, Operational Safety, etc.) to align with SRM and support the overall development of organizational safety functions\\\\n\\\\n• Leader of the LatinX Aurora Unified Group, responsible for establishing the overall mission, vision, purpose and goals of the Unified Group while overseeing the Leadership Committee.
