ABOUT IVANA FREDOTOVIC

Ivana is the inaugural Chief Data Officer at Weber State University, where she leads the institutional strategy for student and enterprise data, analytics, data and AI literacy, and data governance. In close partnership with enrollment management, academic leadership, finance, IT, and executive leadership, she oversees data governance, data and analytics, and reporting to ensure data is trusted, actionable, and aligned with institutional priorities.With a career rooted in higher education analytics and institutional research, Ivana brings deep experience translating complex data into insight that drives student success, enrollment strategy, and long-term planning. Prior to WSU, she served as Director of Research and Data Analytics at Miami Dade College and held multiple institutional research roles at Barry University. Her work consistently bridges strategy and execution building governance frameworks, strengthening data quality and transparency, expanding self-service analytics, and fostering a data-informed culture.A recognized leader in data literacy and governance, Ivana has championed collaborative, campus-wide approaches to building organizational capacity for evidence-based decision-making. Under her leadership, Weber State University’s Data Literacy Program was recognized in the 2025 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report for its impact.Ivana holds a Doctorate in Leadership and Education from Barry University and is nationally active as a speaker and thought leader. She currently serves on the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) Board of Directors (2025–2028), co-leads EDUCAUSE data governance special topics group, and contributes regularly to conversations on analytics strategy, data governance, and institutional effectiveness. She also serves on the EDUCAUSE Nominations and Leadership Development Committee (2026–2028).
