ABOUT IVAN SHELTON
Currently I work at Edison Pace School which is an SEMH School as an SEND Teacher. At EPS I teach PE, BTEC Sport, and work as the Nurture Teacher. I have also taught Outdoor Education as part of an inclusive curriculum that is both nurturing and adaptive. I have completed a Primary (5-11 years) PGCE with PE Specialism at Sheffield Hallam University. Prior to which I completed a Masters degree in Coaching Studies and an Undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Manchester Metropolitan University. Previously I have worked for the LTE Group - Novus as a functional skills tutor for maths, English and ICT; Prospero Teaching as a Cover Supervisor/ Supply Teacher/ TA with SEND/ and as a TA; CER as a Cover Supervisor/ TA/ Supply Teacher as well as in Nurseries. During the summer holidays I have worked for Flexseal UK via an agency as an Assembly Operative, and at Premdor in both production and warehousing as required. During the coronavirus lockdown I worked at Morrisons in Crewe as a Home Delivery Team Leader and then worked at Marlfields Primary Academy in Congleton as a Year 4 Teacher. Other previous experiences include; working at Grove Junior School as a Teaching Assistant in Year 3 and 4; at Moorpark Junior School in Year 4 and then in Year 6 as a SEN Learning Support Practitioner; at Bollinbrook C of E Primary School as a TA with SEND in Year 4 and Year 5; and working at McDonald’s as a Staff Trainer.I have voluntarily worked alongside the PE staff at Wombwell High School, Kings Grove High School in Crewe and at Rawmarsh Community School (RCS). Also I have volunteered with South Yorkshire Thunder Handball team.Qualifications attained include: Primary PGCE with PE Specialism (QTS), The FA Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football, BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science and MA in Exercise and Sport Science (Coaching Studies) at Manchester Metropolitan University amongst many other CPD and personal development courses. I possess a Full UK driver\'s licence.
