Managing the Child Protection Program for UNICEF’s National Response in Italy, overseeing an annual budget of approximately USD 4 million. Supervising a team comprising 3 P3 staff members, 4 UN Volunteers, and 20 additional personnel.· Serving as the Technical Lead for the Pilot Phase of the EU Child Guarantee in Italy (EU DG Empl), piloting innovative models to mitigate poverty and social exclusion among the most vulnerable children, while leading associated research studies· Expanding the Child Protection Program, strategically structured around 4 key pillars- Child Protection in Emergencies, including interventions at southern and northern borders and transit areas- Alternative Care and Guardianship for unaccompanied and separated children- Gender-Based Violence prevention, response, and risk mitigation- Mental Health and Psychosocial Support· Leading and overseeing UNICEF contribution to policy development and advocacy on key reforms in child protection, child poverty, and migration and asylum, at both national and EU levels· Representing UNICEF in technical institutional forums and inter-agency UN coordination platforms, acting as the technical lead for advocacy and policy on migration and asylum in Italy· Providing technical oversight for the EU DG-Home and EU DG Reform-funded programmes on migration and youth mental health in Italy, with line ministries.· Overseeing quality performance of implementing partners, including CSOs and academic institutions, in compliance with UNICEF rules, standards, and donor requirements· Managing financial oversight of the program portfolio, ensuring donor accountability and compliance with internal reporting processes· Designing and delivering training on child protection issues, supervising the development of training packages for professionals and practitioners· Acting as the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse focal point, ensuring adherence to safeguarding principles within the office
