ABOUT IVAN GARCIA DEL RISCO

From an early age I have always been interested in computer science. I still remember coding BASIC on a commodore computer and later on assembling XT and AT PC\'s as well as setting up local networks in a computer lab at a former educational institute. At university while studying Business Management, everything started to make more sense for me in terms of the importance of data and systems information. I became interested in using statistics to get insights from data. Voluntarily collaborating with lecturers at the university, helped me a lot to understand the use of algorithms in a practical way through the use of SPSS and R.Currently I still carry on researching on big data technologies (C*, Pulsar, Spark) at architecture and analytic application levels and applying on a daily basis reporting and database interrogation skills, troubleshooting and system analysis, coding mainly using Python; all of these are key part of my work as well as having a profound sense of customer service, deadlines, team work and problem solving in a proactive and reactive way.Scripting: R, Python, PL/SQL, Gremlin, JavaDatabases: RDBMS and NoSQL (Cassandra & Janusgraph) Distributed Processing : Pulsar, Spark, Kafka, Zookeeper, SolrBI Tools: Business Objects (certified associate), Crystal, PlotlyPower Platform: PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI (certified associate), SharePoint
