About Ivan Faulhaber
For the past two years I have worked as a substitute teacher, adapting constantly on the fly and using various methods & techniques to continue and sustain the pursuit of education for our youth. I primarily serve the Parkrose and David Douglas districts in Portland. I\'ve also spent some time in the last 5 years as a community coach. 2-time PIL Champion @ Grant H.S.(2020-21) and I\'ve recently given efforts in rebuilding football programs at McDaniel H.S.(2023) and David Douglas H.S.(2024-25). In addition, I coached a 6th grade basketball team (2022) and most currently am leading a baseball team at David Douglas H.S. through their first season at the varsity level in 3 years.Proud Moments- Oregon State Champion (Football 2009, 2012, Baseball 2013)- Pac-12 Champion (2014)- Rose Bowl Champion (2015)- Accelerated Graduation (U of O 20••••16)- Helped fundraise over towards childhood cancer research (St. Baldrick\'s, 2017)- Built a multipurpose court in Nicaragua (2017)- Built a trampoline park in Santa Ana, CA; Chandler, AZ (2023)- Aided in venue operations @ Hayward (Track and Field World Championships 2022, Olympic Trials 2024)

Assistant Coach to the great Robert Key at Grant High School. We were back-to-back PIL champions in football in my time there. • Spent a year with McDaniel High School as the Junior Varsity Head Coach. Worked with a team that hadn\'t won a single home game in 5+ years, we won our first that year, and our first PIL win in 2 years. • Volunteer coach at David Douglas (baseball and football). I focus on establishing the fundamentals of what makes a program successful and that is to play the game with respect and to create contributing members in the community.
