ABOUT IVA GREGORY

Principal Product Designer at the Financial Times, working across customer experience, monetisation and product strategy. At the FT, I work on the points where product coherence starts to break down: navigation as governance, personalisation in a trust-dependent medium, distributed ownership that still needs to feel unified, and AI where editorial judgement matters. Most of my job is making sure those things hold together as teams ship independently.I tend to end up in the gap between strategy and execution - the part where a vague priority needs to become something a team can actually build. That usually means prototypes, frameworks, or just a clearer way of framing the problem so people stop talking past each other.I\'m at my best in technically and organisationally complex products where lots of people are involved in shaping the direction, and where getting alignment wrong is expensive.
