Assist in the planning and facilitating diversity, equity, and inclusion events in-person and virtual on platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and social media. Support cultural programs with campus-wide events, such as Lunar New Year, Día de Muertos, LGBTQIA2S+ History Month Kick-Off, and APIDA Month Kick-Off. • Collaborate with Fullerton College Library to launch an online campaign, Reclaiming Our Titles, that promotes literary freedom by highlighting banned books by Black, Indigenous, and authors of color in celebration of Latinx Heritage Month. • Develop and design monthly educational Cultural Heritage Month posts that celebrate and acknowledge the history and accomplishments of the Black, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian Pacific Islander, and LGBTQ+ communities. Within these posts, the campus community is encouraged to attend cultural events, educational books and media are highlighted, and introduce them to activists and community organizers. • Serve as lead organizer of the campus-wide annual event, KinderCaminata. Recruit 137 volunteers, 36 STEM-focused activity stations, and 60 student campus tour guides. Outreach and communicate with local elementary school districts and host 65 teachers and 1,356 kindergartners onto campus to introduce first-generation students of color to college and different careers. Launch post-event survey and disintegrate data to improve future KinderCaminatas.
