ABOUT ALINA AMIR
I am currently pursuing an MFA in Screenwriting at UCLA, with a focus on TV writing, where I craft stories that spotlight South Asian characters and explore multi-cultural and multi-faith perspectives, all infused with just the right amount of sarcasm and subtle humor. My journey began in law school, but a passion for storytelling led me to pivot into marketing. Over the past five years, I have honed my skills as a copywriter, UX writer, and strategist. I’ve contributed to a multi-million dollar media company, ran my own successful copywriting agency for two years, and most recently, I served as a Lead Content Specialist at Payactiv, a fintech company. I’m excited to embark on the next chapter of my journey, bringing my unique voice and experiences to the world of screenwriting.
