About Isuri Gamage

I\'ve always been fascinated with numbers, so working as a Data Scientist has been a long-term goal of mine. Currently, I am working as a Data Analyst at Pekin Insurance where I get the opportunity to explore more about big data and its applications. I completed my Master’s in Data Science program with a GPA of 4.0 on December 2022.At HGSDigital, I got the opportunity to work with big data, and my interest in Analytics drove me to learn more about Data Science. I have over ten years of experience as a Software Engineer. Before that, I got my Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. I’m always thankful for the computer skills I picked up during my Master\'s program.I’m proficient in statistics, programming, DBMS, visualizations, presentation, and communication skills. I work well under pressure and am always a good team player. I love traveling and enjoy meeting new people. Skills/interests: Python, R, SQL, Hadoop MapReduce/Pig/Hive, Spark, Tableau, & JavaScript.
