ABOUT ISRAEL JACOBOWITZ
Very Experienced former Director Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery with a demonstrated history of working successfully in the hospital & health care industry. Graduated from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and trained in surgery and Cardiothoracic surgery at NYU medical Center. Very experienced in all aspects of cardiac surgery and one of the pioneers in starting off pump CABG having performed thousands of these procedures. Firm believer in the interdisciplinary approach in multiple areas of cardiac surgery and has worked successfully to build a hybrid afib ablation program in conjunction with our Electrophysiologists. In addition to performing the hybrid/convergent afib ablation I serve as a proctor guiding others in the performance of hybrid afib which includes thoracoscopic closure of the left atrial appendage and division of the ligament of Marshall in addition to the ablation. Also experienced in the MAZE procedure for atrial fibrillation.
