ABOUT ISOBEL SHERIDAN
Alongside completing a Clinical and Health Psychology MSc at the University of Liverpool, I am working as a recovery worker at Waythrough. My research focuses on hangover anxiety and related problematic alcohol behaviours. This summer I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a first-class psychology BSc (Hons), after researching mindfulness-based interventions for individuals with high sensory processing sensitivity.My passion for improving mental health and tackling inequality has contributed to my aspiration of becoming a clinical psychologist. I am dedicated to gaining the clinical, research and voluntary experience, neccesary to achieve this goal. To date, I have volunteered within: a residential rehabilitation facility; a stroke and neuological hospital ward; various foodbanks; and an inclusive Tae Kwon Do setting. My current recovery worker role has offered relevant clinical experience, as I provide social support to individuals transitioning out of psychiatric facilities. My responsibilities include collaboratively supporting housing, benefits and social reintegration. I am open to psychology-relevant opportunities, including assistant researcher and assistant psychologist positions.
