At the NRC, I work with a group of Research Officers and Research Associates to deliver numerical fire modeling projects to clients and OGDs. I work on large-scale numerical fire simulations. Working with our Technical Officers, we construct and validate sub-models using bench-scale experiments. I also, work with the EME research center by conducting gasification simulations. Using the same approach, I build phenomenological models for solid fuels gasification using data from bench scale and small-scale experiments. At the same time, I am exploring new approaches for modeling fire behavior and the gasification process using machine learning. Publicly available reports can be found on the NRC Archive
