ABOUT ISIDRO REYNA

Isidro Reyna, APR, leads stakeholder engagement for the Space Operations Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters. He also serves as the agency\'s Space Flight Awareness Program manager. Previous to this role, Isidro served as the executive communications manager at NASA\'s Johnson Space Center, providing C-suite, executive-level communications support to three center directors, ensuring favorable executive positioning with internal and external stakeholders, and building and executing thought leadership conversations and campaigns. While executive communications manager, Isidro concurrently served as a public affairs officer for multiple organizations, including Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science, Exploration Integration and Science, Human Health and Performance and Gateway. Prior to his employment with the space agency, Isidro worked as the deputy chief of public affairs for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District, where he ensured the Public Affairs Office effectively communicated the district’s engineering mission strategically and transparently to a diverse group of internal and external audiences. Prior to his employment with the district, Isidro worked as a public affairs specialist in the U.S. Army Office of the Chief of Public Affairs at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C, and for the Army Operational Test Command Headquarters at Fort Hood, Texas, executing media relations, command information and community relations initiatives. Previous to his employment with the federal government, he worked as a media relations specialist and account supervisor for a full-service public relations and advertising agency in San Antonio. Isidro’s earned more than 50 communications awards during his career, including nine Silver Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and three Grand Excalibur Awards from the society\'s Houston Chapter. Isidro was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2006 and became Accredited in Public Relations (APR) in 2011. He earned a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Houston\'s Valenti School of Communication in 2016. He\'s taught public relations campaigns at Valenti, and is a past president of the school’s alumni association. Isidro is a member of PRSA and is a past president of the Houston Chapter. From 20••••23, he served as one of PRSA\'s representatives on the Universal Accreditation Board, the international governing body that manages the APR.
