ABOUT ISHMERAI GONZALEZ

I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Public Policy, specializing in Cybersecurity and Technology, at the University of Texas at Dallas. My career interests lie in intellectual property litigation, technology law, AI & cybersecurity law, and privacy law. I have gained practical experience as a Paralegal in the pre-litigation department at Abramson Labor Group (Los Angeles, CA), where I work in Employment Law, and as a Legal Assistant at Slater Matsil LLP, specializing in intellectual property prosecution. These roles have honed my ability to navigate complex legal matters and contribute to the successful resolution of high-stakes cases. In addition to my professional and academic endeavors, I have actively contributed to student leadership, serving as the Communications Committee Chair and the EPPS (Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences) School Senator for three years. I also had the privilege of leading the University of Texas at Dallas Mock Trial team as captain for two years, further developing my skills in advocacy, critical thinking, and team leadership. With a passion for technology, law, and policy, I am dedicated to pursuing a career at the intersection of law and technology, with a focus on helping shape the future of intellectual property and technology law.
