ABOUT ISHITAA KUMAAR
I am a law student at Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla (Batch of 2027), with a strong interest in corporate legal practice, particularly Intellectual Property Rights, Media and Entertainment Law, and Arbitration.Through internships with leading law firms, senior advocates, and judicial offices, I have developed a solid foundation in legal research, drafting, and dispute-oriented advisory work. My exposure includes matters relating to arbitral award challenges under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, contractual and commercial disputes, defamation and AI-related liability, and constitutional litigation before the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Delhi.I am particularly interested in the protection and enforcement of intellectual property, as well as legal issues arising in the media, entertainment, and digital content industries, where IP protection, contractual structuring, and dispute resolution intersect.I seek to build a long-term career in a high calibre corporate law firm, where I can contribute through rigorous research, strategic thinking, and a strong work ethic, while continuing to deepen my expertise in IP-driven commercial practice.
