About Ishan Gauli
I am a graduate student at Washington University in St. Louis working on my Electrical Engineering degree. My primary interests are in Controls Theory and Network Dynamics.I completed my undergraduate in Electrical Engineering as well. Therein is where I was introduced to the world of dynamical systems and their eloquence in describing the world. I quickly feel in love the mathematics that described dynamical behavior and more so the controls of such dynamics. As an engineer, the idea of being able to use mathematics (in the form of controls theory) to dictate and alter dynamics is very fascinating. During my undergraduate, I took a number of courses in this field. I took the fundamental courses like Controls Theory to more advance graduate classes in Random Process and Kalman Filtering, Linear Dynamical Systems, and Non-Linear Dynamical Systems. Where I learned the theoretical background on linear systems, stabilizability/controllability, controllability grammian, duality of controllability and observability, feedforward control, state feedback control, Luenberger observers, Kalman filters, LQR control, Robust LQR control, non-linear system, Lyapunov stability, non-linear controls, and many more.I was very fortunate to be able to take a class instructed a GNC engineer where we designed and built our controllers for a mini drone.
