About Ishaan Shetty
Throughout my life, I have always had a deep passion towards problem solving. My drive to keep finding solutions to solve problems led me to take on an education at my high school’s highly-selective STEM Program. My time in high school saw me take on projects through my high school’s Model United Nations chapter, DECA, and my capstone project. I am currently pursuing an education in Finance and Public Policy Analysis. My interest in STEM subjects still remains, and to keep developing my technical problem solving abilities, I am taking on a minor in Computer Science as well. I am driven to keep utilizing strategic thinking to tackle business challenges. I am motivated to keep pursuing my interests through internships and workshops in order to give myself a solid foundation to conduct financial and legal analysis. When given a task, I seek to consistently bring a disciplined work ethic and proactive approach to support my team. Looking ahead, I hope to work in Restructuring Consulting or Investment Banking and utilize my curiosity to be successful.

Trockman Microfinance Initiative (TMI) at Indiana University Bloomington (IU) is a student organization that is part of the Kelley Institute for Social Impact (KISI). Our mission is poverty alleviation through business. In order to accomplish this, the main strategy we focus on is microfinance consulting, both in the United States and overseas. We work in teams to consult with nonprofits, travel internationally, host speaker events, hold weekly discussions and more. Ultimately, we make use of concepts from the Kelley School of Business curriculum to improve the well-being of others on both a local and global scale- Developed a client identification framework for Dzimwe Community Radio, an NGO in Malawi, to facilitate community-focused loan origination by assessing borrower eligibility, enhancing outreach, and improving access to microcredit for underserved populations.
