ABOUT ISHA THORNTON
I am a Disney Lawyer in Film Training (D-LIFT) Associate. D-LIFT is a prestigious studio immersion program that provides three law school graduates the opportunity to rotate through the legal departments of 20th Century Studios, Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and the Rights Department. I am an alumna of UCLA Law and the University of Miami. At UCLA Law, I was a Patricia and John Mitchell Achievement Fellow (full-tuition scholar), the Co-President of the Entertainment Law Association, and an Admissions Ambassador. Because of my passion for entertainment, my scholarship was named after donors who wanted to increase diversity in the entertainment industry. At the University of Miami, I held a variety of board positions and served as Co-Anchor of an entertainment segment on one of University of Miami\'s Television (UMTV) shows for seven consecutive semesters. Throughout both college and law school, I have held several internships within the entertainment industry.I am also passionate about giving back. My community organization Assist & Lift provides minority students with free law school application assistance and mentorship from diverse law students and lawyers, while simultaneously hosting panels on necessary topics.
