About Isaiah Dodson
I graduated the accounting program at UT Austin because I want to use accounting to empower diverse teams. Through my vast overseas experience in international customer relations, I am well-equipped to communicate effectively across cultural barriers and navigate unique challenges in business settings. I strongly believe that accountants should be culturally competent because globalization is changing the landscape of business. My experience of living overseas for over a decade has given me a desire to change the workplace to be safe and welcoming to an increasingly diverse workforce. Accounting is the language of business, and my skill set will ensure we\'re speaking a language everyone can understand. Career aspirations aside, I love learning about different cultures and languages. I believe that everyone has a unique story, and I want people to feel heard. My experience leading a Christian small group has increased my love for getting to know people. Being in a position that allows me to foster community, mentor peers, and challenge people is one of the greatest joys of my life.
