A little bit about me? First—hello!I’m Isaiah Moreno, a sophomore at the University of Southern California studying Real Estate Development with a minor in Business Finance. I’m actively building my understanding of how finance operates in real-world settings, particularly within institutional and collaborative environments, and I’m eager to strengthen my financial skill set through hands-on experience and mentorship.Outside of the classroom, you can usually find me swimming to unwind or squeezing in a run just in time to catch the sunset. As a C11 Advisor with Thrive in Joy, I mentor a group of high school seniors who collaborate to turn their ideas for community engagement into real impact. Each semester, my students and I lead an Entrepreneurial Social Impact Project (ESIP): Initiatives designed to support a specific community while raising awareness around an issue we aim to address. These projects have ranged from mental health awareness to intellectual curiosity and youth development, as well as events supporting low-income, first-generation, and Latinx communities. Through this role, I’ve strengthened my leadership, communication, and public speaking skills while gaining hands-on experience working within nonprofit teams and advancing a mission-driven vision. Guiding students as we turn ideas into action has reinforced my passion for community-centered leadership and social impact.
