I work at the intersection of community engagement, cultural programming, and student support.I am the founder of a nonprofit organization focused on building an endowed scholarship for first year students at Rutgers University. My work centers on fundraising through community partnerships, corporate sponsors, donations, and signature events, including a large scale annual golf tournament.I also spent two years working with the Rutgers African American Alumni Alliance, supporting a major Homecoming event serving Black and Latinx communities that draws approximately attendees annually. My role included outreach to student organizations, volunteer coordination, social media promotion, and onboarding a student leader to support marketing and event photography.Prior to this work, I spent several years in operations and logistics, experience that informs my approach to planning, coordination, and execution. I am especially interested in roles that combine cultural programming, student engagement, and community partnership building within higher education.

   About the Role:Founded and lead a registered nonprofit in partnership with Rutgers University Foundation to establish and grow a scholarship endowment for incoming Rutgers freshmen in memory of Jordan JimersonKey Contributions:• Manage nonprofit operations including budgeting, donor relations, contracts, event planning, and marketing• Designed flyers, graphics, and online promotional materials and co-developed the event website to increase accessibility and clarity of scholarship information• Produced a social media campaign across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, including a sizzle reel with Dr. Randal Pinkett to increase engagement which resulted in over 60 golfers participating and 7 corporate sponsorships in our first year• Directed undergraduate volunteers, assigning responsibilities for check-in, photography, banquet setup, and guest coordination to ensure smooth event operations• Negotiated vendor contracts, secured partnerships, oversaw day-of operations, and exceeded the inaugural fundraising goal by 70%, raising over $8,500 toward a endowment at Rutgers University
