About Isaiah Martinez

I am a professional in the college access and success industry. As a lifelong Chicagoan and proud noble alumni of Noble Schools, I have been deeply involved in supporting students\' educational journeys. After graduating from Pritzker College Prep in 2013, I pursued my Bachelor\'s of Science in Sociology with a minor in Communication at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, becoming the first in my family to earn a degree. During my time at Illinois, I had the opportunity to work with the Office of Admissions. As part of a peer mentoring program, I engaged with potential incoming freshmen and their families, addressing their concerns and providing insights into the university experience. This experience ignited my passion for mentorship and community involvement. During summer breaks, I returned to the Noble Schools network, working part-time at ITW David Speer Academy as the Assistant Director of a STEM Summer Program and an Assistant Coach for the Varsity Football program, connecting with local youth and supporting their development. Upon graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2017, I joined ITW David Speer Academy full-time, marking the beginning of my career in education. Throughout the academic year, I held various positions, from Administrative Assistant to In-House Substitute. In 2018, I transitioned to the school\'s college team as a College Counselor, guiding approximately 25% of the senior class in crafting their post-secondary plans. The following year, I joined the Alumni Success team as an Alumni Success Coach, where I have had the privilege of working with over Noble alumni across two campuses as they navigate their paths after high school and explore their career development opportunities. In addition to my role as an Alumni Success Coach, I also manage a team of two coaches for Noble Schools. Furthermore, I serve as the Offensive Coordinator for ITW David Speer Academy\'s varsity football program. Beyond my work with Noble, I have served as a contracted Application Reader for QuestBridge and a Senior Advisor for CollegeAdvisor. The peer mentoring program that I joined about ten years ago has had a profound impact on my commitment to giving back to the communities I belong to today.
