Although this is a professional platform, I would love to introduce myself personally first, I am a Muslim and live Islam as my way of life. I try to be my best self so as to change the idea of what Islam really is since it is portrayed incorrectly through the media.I\'m currently a Junior Project Coordinator at Aecon and will be rotating through multiple departments to have some experience with all sides of the business, from working on big-picture planning and project controls to being on-site with Aecon and OPG tradespeople.In terms of career goals, I’ve developed a strong interest in Ontario’s nuclear sector, hoping to get into the project management side of key projects like the Pickering and Darlington stations, as well as gaining exposure to the Bruce Power and CNL projects that will be ongoing for the next decade. Along the way, I’ve built a solid understanding of how nuclear power is generated and the systems that keep it running safely and efficiently.I previously worked in 3 main positions over the course of my degree, which are explained more in my profile- IBT (Integrated Building Technology) Controls Estimation & Design Co-op- As a research student funded through the NSERC scholarship program- Mechanical Lead at Toronto MetRoboticsI’m someone who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to completion, which fuels my goal to get into project management. Through conversations with experienced professionals in the field, I’ve gained valuable perspective on the paths that lead there, from technical and coordination roles today, to leadership opportunities for the future.
