About Isabelle Barber
Calling Northern California my home, I am a junior double majoring in Sociology and Humanitarian Studies with a minor in Latin American Studies at Fordham University. I am exceptionally passionate about women and girls, LGBTQ+, and refugee rights in both the humanitarian sector and sociological research. From my independent research on social justice movements, to courses on refugee and asylum law as well as Spanish language and literature, I have endeavored to learn more about the world around us and the means to which we can solve its problems.

I had the pleasure to expand my role as a grant-writing intern, supporting Every Day is a Miracle with grant research and applications, to a project coordinator, managing staff, our various programs, and the SOMOS project regulations within our non-profit organization. In this position I am leading our team as we enroll medicaid-eligible clients in the Bronx with necessary social services in conjunction with the New York Department of Health, an expansion from our mandate to end food insecurity in the Bronx.
