Currently a Senior Producer in the Multimedia Team at RWS. I manage our internal Transcription team, covering all services from captioning, subtitling, voiceover and all media accessibility.I have over 10 years of experience in the Localization industry, originally as a Linguist (Translator and Linguistics researcher), and in the most recent years with a focus on the production side using my knowledge of Languages and Accessibility developed during my academic studies.I have helped develop and publish company-wide Multimedia (and Accessibility) Trainings for both production and linguists. In my current position I work with high end Voiceover studios and talents for Marketing campaigns for Top 100 brands, all the way to production of content using the most recent AI dubbing technologies, and I am a key contributor in making sure that we make the most of these tools with human intervention, and not as a subpar replacement.My studies and expertise in Accessibility focussed on Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Audio Description for the Blind and Visually impaired, and also some basic learning on British Sign Language. I am a strong advocate for making all content accessible to all, no matter the language or physical barriers.
