ABOUT ISABELLA SHALUMOV
Future attorney committed to bridging the humanities and the law. I recently graduated from Hunter College with a B.A. in Sociology and minors in Legal Studies, Political Science, and Art History, earning valedictorian status, summa cum laude honors, and induction into Phi Beta Kappa. At Hunter, I immersed myself in the Pre-Law Program, the Athena Scholars Honors Program, and the Thomas Hunter Honors Program—spaces that sharpened my analytical thinking and writing. My legal experience spans the courtroom, government, and the nonprofit sector. I’ve interned with Judge Ruth Pickholz at the New York Supreme Court (Criminal Term), the New York City Law Department’s Family Court (Juvenile Delinquency), the New York Stem Cell Foundation’s Legal and Intellectual Property Department, and the New York City office of Senator Charles E. Schumer. Currently, I serve as an Attorney Development Assistant at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, supporting one of the world’s leading global law firms and gaining firsthand insight into high-level legal practice.
