About Isabella Oñate

Master\'s of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Hult International Business School. With professional background in International Business, Web Development and Industrial Design and Engineering, I am able to translate my experience in different industries and extrapolate problems to find solutions. Back in 2019 for a FinTech Startup I was able to use the knowledge of user experience taught in my Industrial Design Bachelor to improve the proposed backend architecture to follow a logical flow of data for the end users.In 2020 I led a team of three engineers and one UX/UI for a private project at a security firm in order to track IoT data from factory plants into a software indicating possible productivity faults before they happened. For this team I implemented the extreme programming methodology to create unit tests from user stories before developing the software. I also communicated milestones and planning to a non-technical audience, including the company\'s CEO.In my most recent position, I was able to apply knowledge ranging from graphic design to PWA design and development to standardise the look and feel of the web products of the brewery by creating the micro-service backend architecture based on Graph server queries from their PWA to prepare for scalability, generating a concrete guideline for the UI design of both internal systems, access wallet for employees to access the brewery, and external systems such as a web e-commerce app with React, Amplify, AWS API Gateway and AWS Lambda for pre-sales of beer, and by communicating with the different teams and partners to understand their work processes and data needs to consider in the development of the services.I thrive in collaborative agile teams and have strong project management and time management skills that allow me to keep deadlines and milestones of epics in check and pivot if needed. I understand the importance of CI/CD pipelines and unit testing. I have worked and collaborated with teams using Git and have released and used software packaged by Docker containers and orchestrated by Kubernetes.I am currently working with tools like Scikit Learn, TensorFlow and Keras in combination with Power BI and Dataiku. I am proficient with React, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, Python and LaTeX as well as both relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, MongoDB and AWS DynamoDB.
