Throughout my childhood I imagined adult Isabella as a clinical psychologist, helping people contextualize and solve their problems (although I definitely would not have articulated it that way back then).I began my college career preparing for the clinical field, however, by the time I reached graduation I knew it was not meant for me. While my passion for helping individuals with their challenges remained, the way I intended to do so changed. Since that realization 6 years ago, I have worked in different industries, different roles, even different states. The non-traditional path I have chosen has been motivated by a single factor - identifying the root cause of a problem and equipping others with the right skills needed to reach a successful resolution.My time in hospitality-driven roles cultivated my client experience and operational efficiency skills. People management elevated my emotional intelligence and coaching abilities. Corporate human resources/learning and development nurtured these skills while growing my strategic thinking and advocacy skills. In order for an organization to thrive, people must understand the connection between what they do and why they do it, and be presented with opportunities to evolve their skills.
