ABOUT ISABELLA VERI

Nursing has always been more than a profession for me — it’s a way of showing up fully for people during some of their hardest and most meaningful moments. I lead with heart, empathy, and presence, bringing calm, clarity, and connection into situations where patients and families often feel overwhelmed or afraid.My foundation is in emergency medicine, where I learned to think quickly, communicate clearly, and support people in high-stakes, rapidly changing environments. The ER taught me how to remain steady in chaos, advocate fiercely, and meet people exactly where they are.I later expanded into infusion and vascular access, where one-on-one care allowed me to connect even more deeply with patients. I trained new nurses, supported their growth, and found that teaching and sharing knowledge is one of my greatest strengths. I love helping people feel informed, confident, and capable — whether they’re a patient navigating something unfamiliar or a colleague building new skills.Living with Type 1 diabetes for over 15 years has shaped my approach to care in a powerful way. I understand firsthand what it means to rely on clinicians who truly listen, explain, and support with compassion. That lived experience makes me a better nurse, a better educator, and a more grounded human being.At my core, I believe presence is healing- that when we show up with empathy, curiosity, and genuine connection, we make a real difference. I strive to ensure every person I care for leaves feeling more understood, supported, and empowered than when they arrived.
