ABOUT ISABELLA SOPHIR

I’m a second-year student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison studying honors Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies, with a certificate in Education & Educational Services. I’m passionate about promoting youth mental health and helping children build resilience through research, mentorship, and trauma-informed care.Over eight summers as a camp counselor and lead mentor, I’ve developed strong leadership and collaboration skills while supporting children’s social-emotional growth. My social work internship strengthened my understanding of trauma-informed, strength-based approaches, and my work as a Research Assistant at the Waisman Center continues to build my experience in child development research and data analysis.I hope to become a Child Clinical Psychologist dedicated to bridging research and practice to ensure every child and family has access to compassionate, equitable mental health care. I’m eager to collaborate with professionals who share this mission, and to keep building the foundation for graduate study and a career supporting youth resilience.
