About Isabella M.
I am a first-year law student at Georgetown University Law Center. I am particularly interested in the breadth of practice areas within litigation and the dynamic challenges that come with courtroom advocacy. My legal journey has been shaped by a foundation of leadership, service, and discipline. As a Company Commander and Platoon Leader in the U.S. Army, I was entrusted with the welfare, training, and professional development of Soldiers, overseeing multimillion-dollar property and ensuring operational readiness under demanding circumstances. These roles refined my ability to lead with integrity, think critically in high-pressure situations, and advocate for others. Beyond my military service, I have sought out opportunities to immerse myself in the legal field and build a strong professional foundation. I have been honored to serve as a Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP JD Advising Scholar, Eversheds Sutherland Legal Scholar, PracticePro Scholar, Veterans United Foundation Scholar, Pipeline to Practice Fellow, and Georgetown Law RISE Fellow. Each of these programs has expanded my understanding of the legal profession, connected me with mentors across practice areas, and reinforced my commitment to excellence in advocacy. Community engagement and mentorship are also central to my identity. Through Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, I have contributed thousands of hours of service across the Eastern United States, helping to design and lead programs that empower students and strengthen communities. I also founded and coached the Henrietta Bell Wells Debate Program, giving underserved high school students the tools to excel in research, persuasive speaking, and self-advocacy. These experiences reflect my belief that the law is not only a profession but also a platform for meaningful impact. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue exploring litigation, pursue clerkship opportunities, and contribute to the broader legal community through service, scholarship, and advocacy. My unique blend of military leadership, academic preparation, and community engagement positions me to approach the law with both discipline and purpose.
