About Isabella Chahine

I’m a student at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, double majoring in Marketing and Supply Chain Management with a minor in Economics. I graduated high school early and will do so in college to accelerate my education and start building real-world experience in business, leadership, and entrepreneurship. I’m currently part of the Smith Business Leadership Fellows, a competitive program designed to develop leadership, innovation, and problem-solving skills through experiential learning and collaboration. This experience has strengthened my creativity, communication, and drive to lead with impact. Through my roles as a receptionist and other jobs, I’ve learned the importance of communication, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. Constantly interacting with clients and guests has helped me refine my ability to stay composed under pressure, build strong relationships, and deliver great experiences—skills I bring into every professional and academic setting.

   I work as a hostess at Anchor Bar in Frederick, a high-volume, Bills-themed sports restaurant known for extremely busy weekends and NFL game days. In this role, I manage large guest flows and waitlists of 30+ parties during peak hours while coordinating seating and table rotation for 10+ servers on fully booked nights. I regularly support shifts with reduced hosting staff, requiring quick decision-making, clear communication, and strong organizational skills to maintain efficient service and a positive guest experience in a fast-paced environment.
