ABOUT ISABELA SANDOVAL
My name is Isabela Sandoval, and I’m a biology major on the pre-med track at San Diego State University as well as I am a member of the Chi Omega sorority.I aspire to become an oncologist—a path inspired by both my mother’s and father’s battles with cancer, and their remarkable recoveries. These experiences showed me the power of science, empathy, and resilience, and motivate me to become a doctor who not only treats disease but supports and uplifts patients and their families.My academic foundation includes coursework in general chemistry, cell biology, and molecular biology, alongside training in lab techniques like pipetting, gel electrophoresis, and colony PCR. Outside the classroom, I’ve developed leadership and communication skills through competitive cheerleading, customer service roles, and volunteer efforts—ranging from food drives to mental health advocacy.I’m passionate about research, community service, and improving healthcare outcomes.
