ABOUT ISABEL SORTO

I currently lead Tajin USA\'s HR department, where the HR department has been built and developed over the past two years. At Tajin, my role has involved establishing foundational processes across policies, procedures, payroll, benefits, compensation, organizational development, compliance, recruitment, and HR systems, while working closely with executive leadership and external partners to ensure everything is implemented thoughtfully and effectively.During this time, the organization transitioned HR systems, launched employer-sponsored benefits for the first time in the U.S, and introduced a 401(k) Safe Harbor plan for U.S. employees. These initiatives were developed in collaboration with executive leadership along with cross-border collaboration to support compliance, best industry practices, operational efficiency, and a stronger employee experience.The focus has always been on creating structure where it’s needed, improving clarity in processes, and building trust across teams. Strong HR, in my view, should be steady, reliable, and aligned with the broader goals of the business while still keeping people at the center.I have a B.S. in Human Resources Development from Texas A&M University and a minor in Business from Mays Business School. I also earned my SHRM-CP where I currently am a member of the Brazos Valley Chapter.
